The cemetery’s rolling hills and woods come to life in this site-specific tour/performance by choreographer Martha Bowers and Dance Theatre Etcetera. Original music by Guy Klucevsek and Bob Goldberg, visual installations designed by Alexander Heilner. Organized by historian Jeff Richman and The Green-Wood Historic Fund.

BREAKING GROUND - A Dance Charrette

Five choreographers create five site-specific works in five days using a compelling historic site in one of NYC's five boroughs. Conceived and directed by Joanna Haigood, this critically acclaimed series is produced by Dancing in the Streets. Artists include Jonah Bokaer, Tania Isaac, Stephan Koplowitz, Gus Solomon, jr. and Nami Yamamoto. Site at Hangar B Floyd Bennett Field.

The Crane Wife

Intertwining traditional Japanese culture with contemporary dance and music, C. Eule Dance and the Pan Asian Chamber Jazz Ensemble retell an ancient Japanese fable, transforming Pier 66 into a moving stage for their site-specific, family-friendly performance. (Also see OHNY Kids! program.)
