How do I participate in a program?

Advance Registration
Special tours, talks and programs requiring advance reservations to participate will be listed in the event guide and online beginning late September, and registration will be on first come first serve basis.

OHNY does not take reservations.You must follow reservation instructions listed in the printed and online sites and programs listings to find out if advance reservations are required and how to make them.

OHNY Weekend Programs

architecturemoves: Experience concerts and dance performances set agains and inspired by the dramatic architecture, sculpture and landscape on New York City.

OHNY Kids!: Join in workshops, projects and tours designed especially for kids and families! Grab an OHNY Kids Activity Guide at OHNY info centers, select sites or online.

OHNY Tours: Join expert tour guides and historians and explore New York’s most interesting places and spaces.

opendialogues: Speak with architects, designers, planners and scholars onsite about the thoughts, challenges and inspirations that shape the built-environment.

sustainablenewyork: Enjoy talks and tours focusing on sustainable methods and innovations.

focus on architecture photography competition: Grab your camera and focus on your favorite sites during the weekend. Submit your digital images online in four categories: interiors, exteriors, details, people.

How to use the OHNY website listings:

  • Review the site and program listings  alphabetized by borough or sorted by program type to pick the ones you want to visit.
  • Check if a site is open on Saturday, Sunday or both
  • Print PDFs of sections of the printed guide by selecting specific boroughs using the above drop down menu.
  • Print PDFs of borough maps for each site
  • Look for updates on the link to the left and last minute changes, additions and cancellations
  • Make advance reservations at select sites, if required (see below)
  • If required, advance reservations are made through sites/program (see below)
