The Made in NY Media Center is a new kind of collaborative workspace supporting future innovators in media + technology. The 20,000 square foot space it occupies, stands in the heart of DUMBO and was previously home to the Arbuckle Brothers Coffee Factory in the late 1800s and later served as a whiskey storehouse for the Kinsey Distilling Company. Renovated in 2013 by MESH Architects and created in partnership with the Mayor's Office of Media and Entertainment and IFP, the Media Center now supports over 120 entrepreneurs working across film, Virtual Reality, gaming and content. The vast space also includes an open café, a 72-seat Academy Standard theater and immersive digital art projections. Come by to meet some of the creators working from the space and find out how the center is supporting those redefining media.
Sat Tour Info: Guided tours will be offered at 2 and 4pm.
