From the groundbreaking of its first building in 1904, The Rockefeller University has grown to include more than 20 buildings on it's 14-acre Upper East Side campus. The first institution in the United States to be exclusively devoted to biomedical research, Rockefeller is now the world's leading biomedical research university.
Tours during OHNY Weekend will showcase Rockefeller's Collaborative Research Center, a LEED-certified laboratory complex. Also featured will be Welch Hall (renovated in 2013), Founders Hall, Caspary Auditorium, The Rockefeller University Hospital, and other historic buildings. The tour will include a glimpse of the construction underway on the Kravis Research Building, a four-block-long laboratory building currently being erected over the FDR Drive.
Sat Tour Info: Guided tours start every half hour throughout the day, beginning at 10am.
