Art of the Second Avenue Subway

The Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) Second Avenue Subway provides three new stations at 96th, 86th and 72nd Streets, and new entrances to the existing Lexington Av/63 Street Station. Each station features monumental public artwork by four renowned contemporary artists commissioned by MTA Arts & Design. Visit these four stops in Manhattan's Upper East Side to see new artwork and hear firsthand from MTA Arts & Design about commissioning and installing site-specific artwork created for the variety of communities that make up New York City. Bring your own MetroCard. Extra swipes will not be needed as we go from station to station.

Saturday Tour Info: This tour will last approximately 1.5 hrs.

Access Notes: Tour will involve climbing stairs and walking. Please bring your own MetroCard for access to the first station.
