The Cathedral is an active house of worship, arts, cultural, an civic center as well as a feat of human engineering. Despite incomplete construction it is the largest cathedral in the word and feature Byzantine-Romanesque, and neo-gothic architecture. The Cathedral spurred the growth of Morningside Heights into becoming one of Manhattan's most unique neighborhoods.

Saturday Tour Info: Architectural Spotlight tours will take place at 9 and 11am, and will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis. (1.5 hrs)
Sunday Tour Info: Go back in time on an illustrated walking tour of the neighborhood and its historic architecture and institutions, and learn about its development into the "Acropolis of Manhattan" at 1pm. This tour is offered on a first-come, first-served basis. (2 hrs)

Access Notes: Participants on guided tours must be 12 years or older. The Sunday neighborhood walking tour begins at the Cathedral and ends at nearby Riverside Church.
