George & Edward Blum, 1913; Renovation, Gensler, 2015

Visitors will have the opportunity to visit the landmarked Hotel Theresa, the only hotel that allowed Fidel Castro to stay on his visit to the US in 1960! Originally considered, the “Waldorf of Harlem,” the building was later converted for office use, and now houses many significant non-profit groups, including the Harlem Educational Activities Fund.

While visiting HEAF, guests will have the opportunity to tour the recently renovated space and tour the academic classes offered in this out of school time program. Guests will have the opportunity to learn how they can even volunteer their time with this organization. HEAF provides NYC public school youth the road map for their college journey and career success.

Saturday Tour Info: Tours with HEAF staff will take place at 10, 11am, 12, and 1pm.
