Construction began in 1970 and was completed in 1977. Open for public worship on July 4, 1977, the temple has a main prayer hall with five big and four small shrines wherein idols each made of single black granite stone, 20 wall shrines with metala idols, five domes, four towers on all the cardinal directions, one 50 feet tall east-facing main tower, a sun-lit glass-roofed walkway with eight granite stone pillars on either side, artistically carved teak wood doors and two pure silver chariots—11 feet in width and 16 feet in height. Visitors will be informed about the history of the temple and the religious services performed.

Saturday Tour Info: Tours with Mr. Ravi Vaidyanaat, Executive Director and Mr. Ganapathy Padmanabhan, Public Relations Officer of the Temple, will be offered at 10, 11am, 1, and 2pm.
Sunday Tour Info: Tours will be offered at 12, 1, 2, and 3pm.

Access Notes: Dress code to be observed: No shoes(may be left at the entrance). No shorts, mini-skirts, or ripped jeans.
