LaGuardia Gallery of Photographic Arts and the Photography facility will be open to the public for the Annual Open House New York Weekend. The gallery encompasses 3 spaces which feature a variety of photographic projects authored by LaGuardia Photography Program students, alumni and featured professional photographers from around the globe. During the month of October the West gallery will feature a project that had students exploring Water as a theme. The East Gallery features the work of Zak Ahmed and his project that had him return to his home village in Bangladesh to photograph a unique and remote community he left long ago. In the North Gallery a project by photography program student Rachel Seoyeon Lee is a documentary focused on newsstands and their proprietors in the five boroughs of New York City.

In addition the entire facility will be open and operating with shooting studios, a wet darkroom and digital labs all for the public to explore. Students and Faculty from LaGuardia Community College's commercial photography program will be on hand to talk about the current exhibition and guide you through the photography studios.

Saturday Tour Info: Guided tours will be offered at 12, 1, 2, and 3pm.
 
Access Notes: Paid parking is available behind the C building, street parking is also available, however may be hard to find when class is in session.
